I have more work to do in the next few days and weeks than I ever had when I was actually working at a job outside the home! I went to a committee meeting last night for the Ann Arbor Quilt Guild’s Quilt University this summer. I volunteered to do the registration book, assuming that I would be updating and refreshing an existing electronic document. Wrong! At this point that e-file doesn’t seem to exist, so I feel like I’m re-inventing the wheel. It’s not even the content, ’cause that’s just data and text and formatting. My issue is that I am on an even tighter timeline than the rest of the group because we are planning another trip to Florida, which will cut at least 2 weeks off of my available working time.
I know, you feel soooo sad for me, going to Florida in the winter…this is the first time we are able to do this and it does feel pretty good! I know my husband is looking forward to playing golf and I have never been a fan of winter, so we are very happy that we’ll be able to do this.
One of this year’s obstacles to getting to the Deep South, though, is all the snow they have been having in the states we have to drive through to get there! We had originally planned on moving to South Carolina a couple of years ago and they have had more snow there than we have had here. So now I not only feel good about staying here near my grandson, I feel good about staying here in the winter!
Snow dyeing! I need to squeeze out some time to do that. We are supposed to get snow tonight and my dyeing supplies are close at hand….I know I can get some done. After all, there are 24 hours in every day, right?
