Does it mean anything when a piece has a name before it’s close to done? I like to think it means the piece is working for me and will get finished AND that I’ll probably like it when it’s done!
I didn’t have a great deal of time to work on it today, but the City started talking to me and said that it needed a grid. Here’s the first layer.
I started thinking about beads again…this probably will end up with some. Knowing that, I wanted to quilt before beading and the City just kept saying “Grid, grid, grid.” So I layered the top, batting and a fusible interfacing and started quilting in a few more grids. I used large stitches because I definitely wanted them to show. I don’t have a machine with a lot of fancy stitches, but I really like the one I put on here. I’m not done with my grids by any means, but I got it started and it’s a happy project so far. Hooray!
I hope to get the grid finished tomorrow and start figuring out how the City wants to be enhanced with beads…if it does!
