Bummer!

Yesterday I did a trunk show for the West Central Ohio Quilt Guild. That was definitely NOT a bummer. Lovely, lovely group of people and I really enjoyed their company. We had a delicious dinner, with cheesecake for dessert! How could that ever be bad? No, that part of my day was wonderful.

However, as I was thinking about what I was going to say, I came to the slow realization that 2 of the wall hangings I usually use were not packed. I did a quick search of the studio before I headed out and checked my stuff as I presented it to the guild. No luck!

Checked the studio again today and they are just plain gone.

This is a pic of one of them. I’m not even sure if I have a pic of the other one, but it’s matching fabrics with this one.

Up and Away 2

Can’t for the life of me figure out what I did with them, but I think I was just careless and left them somewhere…trying to remember the last place I’m certain I left them…you know how that goes!

I’m just bummed about it today, but I’m already finding a silver lining. It means I need to make two new samples for that class!  Guess I better get over it and get to work!

P.S. Found a picture of the other one–

Up and Away

Sorry, guys–I’ll miss you!

  1. Kathy,
Stop the search!!!!!!!!!! I am happy to report that you sent them to me to use at the Prairie Quilt guild meeting here in Wichita. See you in July.

  2. I really enjoyed your presentation last night at the West Central Ohio Quilt Guild. You were very lively and your quilts were even livlier. Makes me want to complete a “wonky” quilt.

    1. Thank you. I had a great time! If you go ‘wonky’, you will be able to enjoy true creative freedom. Pick up that rotary cutter and go for it!

    1. I don’t think I even had labels on them. They were class samples so I probably didn’t bother, and even when I do, I don’t put addresses on my labels. Hmmm…more food for thought about the many things I HAVEN’T done!!!

  3. I don’t remember ever seeing this one so you probably didn’t have them when you taught in Ann Arbor in 2011. If that helps.

    1. Oh, I had them two weeks ago in Illinois. I just can’t remember having them after that, so I lost them sometime in the last little bit of time. I’ve been here and there and moved and cleaned a bit, so I’m hoping they’ll turn up, but I think it’s just a careless loss!

  4. Oh no!!!! That would just drive me crazy. But I can understand how it happens. I keep leaving sweaters and umbrellas every where I go. That bugs me too. Especially if they are good sweaters.
