A Nice Round Number…

I’ve been notified by WordPress that I’ve published 400 blog posts. That’s a nice round number and perhaps it should be celebrated! And how do bloggers celebrate? With a giveaway, of course!

I have several beaded Christmas tree quilts and I only have one little display stand to use. I also cannot decide on a favorite, so that means you can have your choice from several little pieces. They are all between 11″ and 12″ square. Here are pictures of your choices. The detail shots show the bits of beading.

I’ll select two winners from the usual method–leave a comment on this post. I’ll select the winners on Thanksgiving Day, in between food coma and football game and get it announced on Black Friday…when I will NOT be shopping!

And I’m sure someone will ask…the little stand is from Ackfeld Manufacturing and is available in lots of variations. Most quilt stores have some or can get them for you. (It is NOT included in the giveaway!)

Can’t wait to send these off to a new home!

  1. Congratulations on your 400th posting. You are inspiring and your blog is enjoyable to read. The trees are great; I can understand why you can’t choose.

    • Mostly my beading projects ARE encrusted with beads, so these are a rarity for me, but less seemed appropriate! I sure don’t pay attention to that 400 number ’cause I only write them one at a time.

  3. I would love to have one of your quilted trees, especially after taking your class last week. Your class was so good and you were successful in helping me to become a beading addict. I have lots of projects in mind already. Thanks again for a great class and Happy Thanksgiving, Kathy!

  4. If I don’t get the BIG Christmas tree quit done (I have been working on it for over five years), one of your adorable mini-quilts would definitely be an excellent 2012 addition to my sparse decorations!

  5. What fun little trees! I love the beading. I just bought some funky little wooden Christmas trees at Goodwill that would look just lovely with one of those trees! 🙂

I’d head to the quilt shop to hide or play, but it isn’t even open all week!

  8. I’m with you on NOT shopping on black Friday, those people are nuts. I’m doing handmade Christmas this year, my hubby thinks I’m nuts.

Fabulous giveaway! Love to see your work.

    • I’ve done handmade Christmas several times. I love doing it but I’m afraid I may have overdone it a bit for my family. This year may be a purchased Christmas–but gift cards are just too easy!!!!

  9. I’m glad to know I’m not alone in thinking “black Friday” shoppers are too crazy to go out among them. 🙂
Enjoy your holiday. Thanksgiving is my very favorite holiday since all one needs for it is family and food!

  10. What an accomplishment! For everyone who blogs, it takes time to share so thank you for your time. I could be happy with any of these if I win, but I think the curly single tree or the one with buttons are my favorite.

  13. Happy Thanksgiving Kathy, I love all your beaded work along with everything else you create. My favorite Christmas tree quilt is the large green tree with the 2 red trees with the white backing. Reminds me of Christmas from my youth. My aunt would take me into Philadelphia near Christmas time so I could see the window displays at Strawbridges, they had animated window displays, to a 4 year old, simply magic. I should stand at those displays for hours it seems. My aunt told me I laughed so much I drew a crowd around me and soon we all we’re laughing and enjoying the window displays. Your Christmas tree quilts remind me of my beloved aunt and the joy we shared. Happy Thanksgiving and many happy memories to you and your loved ones. Karen H
