Irresistible!

As I am planning a fabric giveaway because I have more fabric than I will ever use in my lifetime, I went to a fabric store. I was determined to get just a few solids to fill in with the prints that I can’t resist buying.

Neutral fabs

Well, I was able to restrain myself from picking up many more wonderful prints. However, I picked up a few neutrals and darks. They were irresistible…

…and I am incurable!

    • I just keep telling myself that I need a complete palette just like any artist, so anything I buy is just filling in the gaps! And I am fortunate to have some very nice quilt stores around me.

    • I am happily going to let go of some of the old stuff! It’s that 1/2 yard of blue batik that I need for binding that I’m going to regret having parted with!!!!

  1. Thanks so much for leaving a comment on my blog and being one of the nice SAQA on-line forum readers who cared enough to stop by my blog to confirm that the suggestions left by earlier readers did, in fact, lead to a “fix”. I hope you saw the blog post about the show at Vision Gallery in Chandler. Your portrait is currently hanging there! Thanks again!

PS (Please know that I’m writing this tongue-and-cheek and with a humorously smug attitude: I am not material for QFHA! Of course, there are other things in my life that take the place of fabric … keys, wooden spools, old photos, clock parts, etc., etc.)

  2. I can tell you are a fellow “blue” lover. Great choices….and buying more recent fabrics is unavoidable….there are just too many pretty ones!

    • Blue? Not so much…those were mostly grays and orange/red is my favorite color range. However, blue is the complementary color and I do use it a lot. But I love it all, I really do!

    • If I lived to be 200 years old and sewed every day I couldn’t use up what I have now, but they keep making new, wonderful fabrics. What can we do? We MUST have them!!!
