Working out the issues

I’ve been consumed for the last couple of weeks with working on new patterns. Haven’t done this kind of work for 10 years and I’m not sure I’m loving it! Creating the samples and working out the ‘how-to’ of making them is the easy part. Writing the patterns so everyone else can make them, too…not so easy! I’ve said all this over and over in the last few posts I’ve written.

This is a sample try that will NOT be my pattern. Here’s a detail just because I love these fabrics!

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now. I think I’m almost done with the creating and tweaking the instructions. Hope to have it all wrapped up by the end of the week….but I’m an optimist!

It helped immensely when I abandoned these blocks. Things look much better now.

On the other side of my life, it’s the start of grandson hockey season, football season and a little vacation trip thrown in. Sewing will take a back seat to all of that, because textiles are not a seasonal sport!

First scrimmage…the rust was shaken off by the third period, but you could definitely tell it was the first game!

And it’s fall. My favorite season. I am so happily looking forward to the next couple of months. Should be wonderful.
