No New Projects!

There are enough finished art pieces in my studio to fully mount several exhibits. I also have a few pieces at each of three shops. I DO NOT need to make any more right now.

I also have a stack of finished quilt tops that simply grows and grows on the shelf. I NEED to get them quilted or they are just another pile of “stuff.” So I am going to renew my resolution to always have a quilt upon which to stitch. Here’s the one I chose to get ready this week.

I even pieced a back for it, which you know is something that I really hate to do! I actually had some bigger chunks of black and white fabrics that I don’t love as much as I used to, so I used them. It’s all basted and ready for the quilting.

The only decision left is what color thread to use to stitch. Black, white, turquoise, pink, variegated?

Here are the plainer ones.

And here are the others I am considering.

The variegated feels like a very safe choice. But I believe I’m going to go with the dark rose color. On my screen, it looks quite red, but it’s a nice deep rose color and I love it. I have a more flourescent pink, but that’s waaaay too much!

Ready to stitch! I’m going to set a very unrealistic goal of getting this done in a week. That will keep me at least trying to stitch some on it every day! Every. Day. Every. Single. Day. Get stitching, momma!!!
