Line

Goal line… foul line… line of logic… credit line… I have forgotten my lines!… fall into line… be on the line… firing line… line of duty… out of line… along the line… take a hard line… hook, line and sinker… walk a fine line… on the right line… line of vision …line of work… further down the line… line of thought… top of the line… fine line… hot line… dotted line… end of the line……………………………………….

Yep, so many phrases and meanings of the word and today it has meaning for me. I want to take a hard line with myself and try to purge the things I really don’t need or won’t use. I know that I am incapable of simply throwing things in the trash, so I must think in terms of finding a new home for those items.

My skills and capabilities open up too many options sometimes. I can imagine a use for every.single.thing. and the reality of creating every.single.thing. is not something I dwell on. I need to confront that reality and act on it.

Apparently I’m working on a type of New Year’s resolution. Maybe if I call it goal setting and concentrate really hard, I can get to that goal line.
