It’s been a very quiet weekend here in stay-at-home-land. We do not go out much, but we have made a few exceptions. Seeing a bit more of the family is very, very nice. The local farmer’s market re-opened and we walked up there Saturday morning. Not too many vendors there this early, but we were happy to see all those that showed up.
I found a few small pieces of Michigan fabric and a bit of elastic and spent most of my time making some masks for family.

Got some thread in that I needed to begin quilting on a quilt, so that will start this week. It’s my ‘always have a quilt ready to work on’ project, so nothing special, no deadline, just get one more off the pile!
And I have had some fabrics hanging on the design wall for months, determined to use them. Of course, I have bypassed them in favor of others several times but I think it’s been long enough. I either have to give up and put them back on the shelf or DO something….anything….with them.

They are fat quarters that I made with soy wax and dye and they kind of go together. At least they all have circles and all have some yellow, so that’s what I’m basing my fabric selections on! I have quite a bit that will go with, so I should have no shortages once I make a plan. I had so much fun with the Flying Geese traditional pattern (NOT quilted, by the way!) that I’m thinking about that traditional Drunkard’s Path. I’ll probably like it better if I do it improv, though.
I think that’s the plan for this week. Maybe I’ll start with small chunks…or maybe I’ll pull something else off the shelf that I really don’t like and tear it apart!

Or play with organza…
I think inspiration is floating just out of reach today and I need to let it settle in and touch me…………………..
